He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Olean (Douglas); and his daughter Kylie E. Douglas Olean. He is survived by: his son Kevin Olean of Milldale; his grandchildren, Alexandra Spencer and Edward Olean; and his brothers, Arnold Olean of Maine and David (Beverly Olean) of Maine.
