He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Rinehart and Arlene Rinehart (Rice); his wife Sandy (Pekunka); his son John T. Rinehart; and his sister Marianne Biggs.

He is survived by: his son Brian Rinehart (Amy Clark) of Southington.
