He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Minkler (Conrad); his parents, Lloyd Minkler and Catherine Minkler (Kollar); and his brother Daniel Minkler. He is survived by: his children, Steven Minkler (Karen) of Waterbury and Kathleen Minkler (Marc Gionfriddo) of Higganum; and his grandchildren, Rosemary Minkler and Mikayla Heim.
