It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerard Sangermano Sr. of Stamford, Connecticut, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Sangermano and Angelina Cufone Sangermano; his wife Jacqueline "Cacciotti" Sangermano; and his sisters, Luisa Docimo, Rosina Castiglione, Viola Maria Filato and Carmela Russo.

He is survived by: his children, Angelina "Angel" Sangermano of New Milford and Gerad "Jerry" Sangermano, Jr. (Polly Anna) of Bethel; his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Rocco, Vincenzo "Vinny" Chiappetta, Gerard III and Christina Sangermano; his siblings, Antonio Sangermano and Rita Contadino; and his stepbrother Francesco Sangermano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gerard's memory to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.

Often a Greenwich cop would chase him on his motorcycle. He would rush onto our porch and hide...we would all laugh. He was like a "brother" to my sister, Marianne (Infanti) Makrinos.
