He is survived by: his siblings, John Doherty (MaryAlice) of Yorktown Heights, NY and Marian Doherty of Milford; his nephews, Hugh Doherty (Stephanie), Stephen Doherty (Diedre) and Jack Doherty (Katie); and his girlfriend Geraldine Powell.
