Mario Smeriglio Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mario Smeriglio of Stamford, Connecticut, who passed away on July 23, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Smeriglio and Giuseppina Smeriglio; and his siblings, Francesco, Joseph, Tony Smeriglio (Antonio), Ida Sena and Connie Morabito (Concetta).
He is survived by: his sons, Frank Smeriglio (Marilyn) of Goshen, NY and Mark Smeriglio (Debbie) of Norwalk; his siblings, Louis Smeriglio (Jean) of Norwalk and Yolanda Smeriglio of Stamford; his grandchildren, Rylee, Jenna, Sara, Alyssa, Analisa and Andres; and his girlfriend Nancy Figlar of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory (104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT 06902). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
