He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Agostino and Marie Agostino; and his siblings, Dominick, Frank Agostino, Elizabeth Coughlin and Marie Maloney.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Agostino (Sileo); his children, James (Jennifer), Richard (Barb) and Katie Mulcahy (Derek); and his grandchildren, Emma Agostino, Leo, Tony, Richie Agostino, Adam, William and Abigail Mulcahy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Richard's memory to The Stamford Police Foundation, 725 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT 06901.
