The passing of George R. Coon of Stonington, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 10, 2025 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy George leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Gurnee of North Stonington, CT; his children, Cheryl Gagnon of Norwich, CT, Thomas Coon of Groton, CT and Kelly Lloyd of Woodinville, WA.; and his grandchildren, Zachary Gagnon, Lauren Gagnon and Keira Coon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home (121 Main St, Westerly, RI 02891). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Charlestown (5073 Old Post Rd, Charlestown, RI 02813).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
