He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Mauritz and Grace E. Mauritz; and his sister Betsy C. McKenna. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mauritz (Matteo); his children, Christopher Mauritz and Michelle Mauritz; his daughter-in-law Tori Mauritz; his grandchildren, Dana, Alexander, Anne and Sophia Mauritz; and his sister Diane Shumway.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave, Mystic, CT 06355). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (32 E Main St, Mystic, CT 06355).
