It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louie M. Machado of Stonington, Connecticut, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Louie leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Durval T. Machado Sr. and Fernanda Machado (Fernandes); and his siblings, Durval T. Machado Jr., Carmen Pietraallo of Westerly, RI and Manuel Machado of Newington, CT. He was also cherished by 8 nieces and nephews, a great niece and several great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave, Mystic, CT 06355). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (60 Liberty St, Pawcatuck, CT 06379).
