We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2025, at the age of 97, Anita Newbauer of Stratford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Anita may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Newbauer; and her parents, Eugen Evertz and Else Evertz (Balkhaus). She is survived by: her children, Lisa Newbauer-Krieger (Brian) of Stratford and Karl Newbauer of Stratford; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole Krieger.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Adzima Funeral Home (50 Paradise Green Pl, Stratford, CT 06614). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. St. Peters Cemetery (219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT 06418).
