With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Helwig of Stratford, Connecticut, born in Milford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Douglas Helwig to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton Helwig and Beatrice Jean Helwig (White). He is survived by: his wife Donna Kotchko Helwig; his children, Jessie Rehm (John) of Stratford and Travis Helwig (Jen Statsky) of California; his grandchildren, Andrew, Grace and Owen; and his siblings, Robert Helwig (Tammy) of Florida and Diane Slattery (Bill) of Milford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
