She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Gernat and Martha Gernat (Jankura); and her brother Robert Gernat. She is survived by : her husband John Mellor; her children, Linda Bates (Philip) of Enfield, Susan Bard of Stratford and John Mellor (Annette) of Ansonia; her grandchildren, Anthony, Michael Daglio, Danielle, Justin Bard, John and Jessica Mellor; her great grandchildren, Emma and James Daglio; and her close friend Laurie Birdsey.
