It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Jane Ohmes of Stratford, Connecticut, who passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Evelyn Jane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Evelyn Jane's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Raymond Sparkes and Marion Pinkerton Sparkes; her husband Robert Donald Ohmes; and her son Lawrence Peter Ohmes. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Frederick Ohmes (Meredith) of Pelham, NY and Scott Raymond Ohmes of Stratford, CT; and her grandsons, Lawrence Scott Ohmes and William Robert Ohmes.
