It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Patrick Reilly of Stratford, Connecticut, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Reilly and Emily Reilly (Kekac); his siblings, Joseph Reilly Jr. (Lorraine), Timothy Reilly and Carol Dota (Anthony); and his sister-in-law Barbara Gomperts.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Gomperts); his children, Christopher Reilly Sr. (Sandra) of Naugatuck and Patricia Wallace (Ronald) of Naugatuck; his grandchildren, Samantha Daikus (John) of Litchfield, Danielle Grosso (Craig) of Wethersfield, Ronnie Wallace of Waterbury, Christopher Reilly Jr. (Julia Wojtczak) of Naugatuck, Lianne Wallace of Waterbury and Emily Wallace of Naugatuck; his great grandchildren, Gavin Grosso, Caden Grosso and Miles Daikus; his brothers, James Reilly (Janet) and Michael Reilly (Charlene); and his siblings-in-law, Rosemary Reilly and George Gomperts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the William R. McDonald Funeral Home (2591 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Church (497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT 06614). A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
