He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Wanas (Martin); his father Michael Wanas, Sr.; and his siblings, William, John, Walter, Paul, Michael, Anna Roman, Mary Kotch, Helen Shurminsky, Julie Bakos, Antonia Raguskas and Olga Magyar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Wanas of Stratford and Susan Wanas of New Haven; and his brother Alexander Wanas of Mayfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
