He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin Hidu; and his siblings, David Hidu, Willard McDonald and Susan LeBlond. He is survived by: his mother Ellouise McDowell McDonald; his children, Kristin Brice (Joseph) and Peter Hidu; his grandchildren, Hunter Brice, Kayleen Hidu and Gianna Hidu; and his siblings, Timothy Hidu (Dale), Robert McDonald, Lisa Uvino, Sharon Gilleran (Bill), Jan Coubrough and Wendy McDonald. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home (2611 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the family.
