He is survived by: his wife Michelle Sullivan; his pet Zoë; his children, Dr. Allise Markowski (Timothy Nealon) of Suffield and Christopher Markowski of Suffield; his mother Victoria Markowski of Suffield; his sisters, Barbara Groszyk of Suffield and Irene Jardin of West Simsbury; and his siblings' children, Martha Groszyk, Linda Groszyk of San Francisco, Amy Sheiber of Newton, Liz Hubbard of Littleton, CO, Sarah Baltruweit of Boston and Jeffrey Jardin of Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Also, please consider donating life saving blood and/or platelets at the American Red Cross in honor of Gene.
