He is survived by: his wife Michelle Sullivan; his pet Zoë; his children, Dr. Allise Markowski (Timothy Nealon) of Suffield and Christopher Markowski of Suffield; his mother Victoria Markowski of Suffield; his sisters, Barbara Groszyk of Suffield and Irene Jardin of West Simsbury; his nieces, Martha Groszyk, Linda Groszyk of San Francisco, Amy Sheiber of Newton, Liz Hubbard of Littleton, CO and Sarah Baltruweit of Boston; and his nephew Jeffrey Jardin of Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Also, please consider donating life saving blood and/or platelets at the American Red Cross in honor of Gene.
