She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Donald Maxwell Matthews and Margaret Matthews (Stevens); her husband Dan; her sons, Donald, Duncan (Donna) of Cabot, VT, Malcolm (Susan) of New York City, Stephen (Diana) of Kihei, HI, Neil of Suffield and Ian (Rebecca) of Cambridge, MA; her daughter-in-law Paula of Fitchburg, MA; her sister Cynthia Charnley of Kalamazoo, MI; her grandchildren, Kathy, Dan, Callum, Cailean, Sean, Samantha, Nicholas, Matthew, Duncan, Connor, Mary and Tam (Pany); her great grandchildren, Cristina, Niki, Riley, Addalyn, Ainsley, Alexandra, Nicholas, Calvin and James; and her great great grandchild Cleo.
