He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coughlin (Schmelder); his children, Thomas Coughlin (Kate) of Greenfield, MA and Kelly Shea (Edward) of Newport, RI; his sister Judith Plourde; his grandchildren, Kelsey Greene (Dan), Abby Even (Jack), Brigid McGrath (Jay), Maible Coughlin (Patrick Gillespie) and Oliver Coughlin; and his great grandchildren, Peter, Tommy, Avery and Olin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
