It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick N Foster (Thomaston, Connecticut), born in Glendale, California, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Sharon Foster (Kowalski); his brother Robert Foster of Thomaston; and his parents, Clarence Foster and Ethel Foster of Thomaston. He is survived by: his children, Randall C. Foster (MaryBeth), John "Jack" L. Foster (Jen), Jamie Walsh, Robert H. Foster, Stephanie H. Finkbiner (Rodney) and Frederick G. Foster; his grandchildren, Sage, Griffin, Sarah, Miles, Hannah, Amelia and Booker; his siblings, William Foster of Plainville, Carol Chase of South Carolina and Lois Innes of Harwinton; and his former wife Betsy Humiston of Thomaston.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lyons Funeral Home (46 High St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Frederick's memory to the Thomaston Fire Department or the THS Golden Bears Booster Club.
