Harriet L. Knox Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harriet L. Knox of Thomaston, Connecticut, who passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Harriet departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Harriet may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Harriet leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gangloff and Stella Gangloff (Dizeweicka). She is survived by: her husband Robert Knox; her children, Robert Knox (Debbie) of Thomaston, Paul Knox (Judy) of Wurtsboro, NY, Daniel Knox (Joan), Dana Knox of Pittsfield, MA and Sheena Knox; her sister Lois Butteri; and her goddaughter Crystal Lambert (Donald) of Thomaston. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.

A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1 Marine St, Thomaston, CT 06787).
