He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Whalen and Ellen Whalen (Monroe); and his sister Cynthia Belfiore. He is survived by: his wife Luann Whalen (Gallo); his daughter Tammy Thomas of Newtown; his grandchildren, Bryttnie Olsen (Gabe) and Makenzie Thomas; his great grandchild Seyla; and his brother Larry Whalen (Alice). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lyons Funeral Home (46 High St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
