Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard F. Francis; her parents, Jeremiah Sullivan and Mary Sullivan; and her siblings, Elizabeth Caron and Geoffrey Sullivan.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Bournival (Mark) of Torrington; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Bournival of Thomaston and Andrew Bournival of Thomaston. She is also survived by many nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lyons Funeral Home (46 High St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Church (1 E Main St, Thomaston, CT 06787).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to the Thomaston Social Services Crisis Fund, Thomaston Town Hall, 158 Main Street, Thomaston or to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County, 32 Union Street, Winsted.
