He was predeceased by: his wife Carol; his parents, Raymond Decker and Theresa Decker (Marinkas); and his brother Terry. He is survived by: his children, Charlene Scarpati (Joseph) of Prospect, Laurence Decker Jr. (Tracy) of Thomaston and Lance Decker of Torrington; his grandchildren, Erica DeCasanova (Jon), Joseph Scarpati, Kylie Decker, Nicole Decker and Madison Decker; and his siblings, Raymond Decker (Daisy), Gordon Decker (Bernice), Walter Decker (Charlene), Lee Decker (Joyce) and Patricia May. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lyons Funeral Home (46 High St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (835 Riverside Ave, Torrington, CT 06790). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (76 Walnut St, Torrington, CT 06790).
