He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Engle (Varner); and his parents, Calvin Engle and Benny Engle (McCreary). He is survived by: his children, Raymond Engle (Janet) of Plymouth, Wayne Engle (Lisa) of Thomaston, Daniel Engle (Kim) of Terryville, Robert Engle (Danah) of Terryville, Kevin Engle (Karrie) of Terryville, Cheryl Davino, Elaine Wagner (Robert), Rita Jean Judson (Michael) of Torrington and Patricia Chasse (Donald) of Thomaston. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Scott Funeral Home, Inc. (169 Main St, Terryville, CT 06786). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Torringford Cemetery.
