We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2024, at the age of 94, Shirley Innes of Thomaston, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let us carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Shirley may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by : her husband Harry Innes; her sons-in-law, Henry Boguslawski, Richard Kane and Richard Sanford Jr.; and her grandson Luke Sanford.

She is survived by : her children, Daniel Innes (Nanette), Candace Boden (William), Cheryl Boguslawski, Susan Kane, Janet Bartosiewicz (David) and Joanne Aylott (Chris). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lyons Funeral Home (46 High St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1 Marine St, Thomaston, CT 06787).
