In the sacred silence of farewell, Gordon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gordon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Hopkins and Carmen Y. Hopkins (Perreault); and his nephew Joshua Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Hopkins (Barriere); his daughters, Deborah Lefebvre (Scott) of Putnam, Jennifer Atwood (Ben) of Brooklyn and Rebecca Laitres-Hopkins (Daryl Frink) of Brooklyn; his brothers, Dennis W. Hopkins (Carolyn) of Pomfret Center and Gary B. Hopkins (Debbie Girard Crandall) of Pomfret Center; and his grandchildren, Robert Hopkins-Lemay of Plainfield, Monique Lefebvre of Putnam and Connor Laitres of Brooklyn. He is also survived by his nieces, a nephew, extended family, and numerous friends.
