He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hany and Emma Hany (Moser); his granddaughter Angela; his siblings, Rudy, Wilbur Hany, Ruth Kostek and Eleanor Toth; and his siblings-in-law, James Stevenson, Judy Godek and Joyce Kowalski.

He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Eileen (Jim Rivers), Steven Hany (Anne-Marie Lachut), Loree Hany, Melissa (Greg Lachut), Beth (Matt Fiddler), Alison and Todd Lentocha; his grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Jacob, Ashley, Nicholas, Kayla, Julia, Hanna, Davia, Kevin, Jillian, Rebecca, Austin, Samantha and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, Kaitlyn, James, Levi, Caden, Lukas, Zoe, Isabelle, Chloe, Emma, Jamison, Jack and Faith; and his siblings, Norman Hany, Judy Greene and Margie Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
