It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frieda R. Hackner of Tolland, Connecticut, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frieda R. Hackner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolf Redler and Eugenia Redler; and her brother Ignatz Redler. She is survived by: her husband Hans Hackner; her sons, Harald Hackner, Richard Hackner (Lisa) and Karl Hackner (Lottie); her grandchildren, Nathanial Hackner (Carolyn), Richard Hackner Jr., Douglas Hackner (Beth), Justin Hackner (Ashley), Nicole Glass (Matthew), Lex Hackner (Rachel) and Alexandria Hackner; her great grandchildren, Theodore, Amelia Hackner, Julia and Nicholas Glass; her siblings, Hedwig Itsou, Christine Stahl and Franz Redler; her aunt Maria Frank; and her uncles, Franz Koch and Erwin Koch.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Matthew (111 Tolland Grn, Tolland, CT 06084). A burial was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the South Cemetery (299 Cider Mill Rd, Tolland, CT 06084).
