She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander and Lena Sivec; her brother William; and her daughter Gail. She is survived by: her children, Glen Nielsen (CiCi) of Kittery, Maine, Dana Nielsen (Susan) of Stetson, Maine, Dawn Menta (Larry) of Prospect, CT and Lynn Wood (late Warren) of Torrington, CT.; her grandchildren, Tait Nielsen (Laura), Dane Nielsen (Alexa), Lauren Menta and Kyle Menta; and her great grandchildren, Braydon, Koen, Wilhelmina, Carter, Connor and Johnny.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
