She was predeceased by : her parents, Braulio Oquendo and Josefina Oquendo (Garcia) of Ponce; her nieces, Yvette Carter and Wendy Maestri; her great-nephew Elijah Oquendo; and her grandson Richard Medina.

She is survived by : her sons, Al Medina of Farmington, Adam Medina (Hillary) of New Britain, CT, Ricardo Medina (Joann) of Friendswood and James Medina (Madeleine) of Hawaii; and her siblings, Norma Oquendo of Eden, Marta Sherman of Torrington, CT, Gladys Kwash of Quincy, Silvia Dombrauskas of Goodyear, Arizona., Jose Oquendo of Bolton, CT, Edwin of Washington State, William Oquendo of Washington State, Ramonita Pursley and Carlos Oquendo.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to The Alzheimer's Association @ Act.Alz.Org.
