With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine B. Gawrych of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on March 3, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine B. Gawrych to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Joseph A. Gawrych; her parents, Frank Pennington and Mary "Molly" Pennington (Higgins); her granddaughter Christine Applewhite; and her sisters, Peggy Waldron and Mary Beauchaine.

She is survived by : her children, Gary J. Gawrych (Andrea) of Torrington, Joseph A. Gawrych (Robin) of Torrington and Deborah A. Hogan (Raymond) of Davenport, FL; her grandchildren, Danielle Hogan, Justin Gawrych and Jennifer Murphy (Andrew); and her great grandchild Slade Applewhite.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate (https://stjude.org)).
