He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mainella and Mary Mainella (Pasquarelli); his wife Eleanor Mainella (Coppa); his siblings-in-law, Marie Mainella, Charlie Coppa and Jackie Coppa; and his nephew Vincent Mainella.
He is survived by: his son John Mainella; his daughter-in-law Trish of Plaistow, NH; his daughter Linda Chave; his son-in-law Russell (Therese Mainella) of Danbury, CT; his brother Domenic Mainella of Torrington, CT; his grandchildren, Nicholas Mainella (Laura), Colin Mainella (Valeria), Russell E. Chave and Noelle Chave; and his great grandchildren, Harvey Tait and Emma Mainella. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
