He is survived by: his mother Eugenia Malave Colon of Hartford, CT; his stepfather Ramon Febo of Hartford, CT; his fiancé Mayda Lopez-Rivera of Torrington, CT; his children, Christopher Cook of North Alexandria, PA, Juan Nieves Malave of Torrington, CT, Bianca Nieves Malave of Torrington, CT and Shaely Nieves Malave of Torrington, CT; and his siblings, Rafael Vargas of Hartford, CT and Ana Ivette Nieves of Hartford, CT. He is also survived by five grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
