It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeanne R. McGarrity of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Repas and Jean Repas; and her husband Bill McGarrity. She is survived by: her significant other Howie Caine; her pets, Joey and Cooper; her children, Ryan McGarrity (Jodie) of Watertown, CT, Heather Tweeddale (Todd) of Granby, CT and Gretchen Holloway (John) of Torrington, CT; her brother John "Jack" Repas; her sister-in-law Rita of Cornwall Bridge, CT; her grandchildren, Christopher Tweeddale (Katie), Alyssa Tweeddale, Drew McGarrity and Reese McGarrity; her partner's daughter Michelle Caine; her friends, Judy Pfeffer, Barbara Colangelo, Lyn McLeod, Paula Meada and Ellie Dattollo; and her close friends, Janet Recidivi, Betty Marinaccio, Cathy White, Barbara Czapor and Darcia Sequin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (82 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) (99 E Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
