It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna J. Arnista of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Anthony Arnista; her parents, Joseph Killiany and Joanna Killiany (Strawinski); and her sister Antonia Koplar. She is survived by : her son Col. Alexander J. Arnista; her daughter-in-law Gaylene of Burke, VA; her children, Dr. Marian A. Arnista (Vincent Cleri) of Torrington, Carol A. Sisson (David) of West Haven and Dr. Thomas M. Arnista (Amy) of Middletown; her sister Anna Koplar of Torrington; her grandchildren, Ashley L. Coughlin (Lt), Col. Kevin, Joanna Sisson, Anthony Arnista, Jacqueline Rahaim (Dan), Charles Sisson and Dr. Nicholas Arnista; and her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Coughlin and Thomas Coughlin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
