He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schaer and Jacqueline Schaer (Jones); and his brother Gene Schaer. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Schaer (Desrosiers); his son John A. Schaer, Jr.; his grandsons, Kenneth and Corey; his brothers, Raymond C. Schaer, Jr. (Cecile) and Louie Schaer; and his adoptive children, Anita, Cheryl, David and Billy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved brothers and sisters-in-law.
