He was predeceased by: his parents, Tarquin Barbieri and Pauline Barbieri; his wife Joyce Barbieri (Weingart); and his siblings, Adele Benamati (Barbieri) and John Campanelli.
He is survived by: his sons, Ray (Rita), Jim (Nancy) and Brian (Kimberly); his pet Nutmeg; his grandchildren, Rachel Barbieri (Finley), Raven Barbieri (Boisvert), Gillian Barbieri, Zachary Barbieri and Amber Barbieri; his stepgrandchildren, Cassandra Morin, Amanda Bushka and Jay Crump; and his sibling's children, Paula Dansereau, Susan Benamati, Greg Campanelli, Keith Campanelli, Rick Campanelli, Donna Palmer, Susan Slavich (Palmer) and Wayne Palmer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cook Funeral Home (82 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Paul the Great Parish (99 E Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Care Fund of the Litchfield Hills, Inc. 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington, CT 06790 or a local cat shelter, in honor of Nutmeg.
