He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Victor Leo Westerling and Joan Sonia Westerling (McCarthy); his former wife Victoria Gillette (Sapia); his sons, Jeremy Victor Westerling (Carrie) of Paso Robles and Nicholas Sebastian Westerling of Torrington, Connecticut.; his wife Diane Westerling (Bell) of Torrington; his daughters, Sondra and Krista Westerling; and his close friend Lincoln Roy Brucker of Bakerville. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in his name to the American Diabetes Foundation.
