With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Majewski of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on September 27, 2020 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Majewski to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Majewski; her parents, John Rakyta and Anna Rakyta (Pasternak); and her siblings, Anna Rakyta, John Rakyta and Andrew Rakyta.

She is survived by: her brothers, Michael Rakyta of Savannah, GA and Robert Rakyta of New Hartford; and her nieces and nephews, Judy Schaller, Tom Rakyta, Karen Rakyta, Jeffrey Rakyta and Fred Rakyta. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org) or to ASPCA (aspca.org).
