It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Skinner of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Skinner and Florence Skinner (Humason); his wife Anne Skinner (Travers); and his siblings, Richard Skinner and Virginia Skinner Walsh.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Skinner of Torrington and Lisa Skinner Pepin (Albert) of Windsor Locks, CT; and his grandchildren, Kelly Skinner (Mark Orensteen), Sarah Hartnett (Brian), Tyler Pepin (Kerry), Allison Varner (Nick), Conor Pepin (Jessica Lynch) and Rachel Skinner. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cook Funeral Home (82 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Church (St. Louis de Montfort Parish) (71 North St, Goshen, CT 06756). A burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Thomas Cemetery.
