With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rose Janssen of Torrington, Connecticut, whose life came to an end on October 12, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. In the vast expanse of eternity, Rose shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rose farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Janssen; her parents, Rose Gioia and James Gioia; and her brothers, Samuel Gioia, Anthony Gioia Sr., Thomas Gioia and Lawrence Gioia.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lorraine Nedergaard (Ove) of Maitland, FL and Eileen Hayes (Tom) of Torrington; and her caregivers, Sue and Helene. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Winchester Center Cemetery South Road.
