He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rosmer Bruce and Hazel Christensen (Sellwod); his wife Mary (Wilbur); his children, Teresa M. Andrews (Bruce) of Winsted, James P. Christensen (Hazel) of Fairfield, CA and Michael K. Christensen (Julian) of Browns Valley, CA; his stepchildren, Cheryl A. Incillo (James) of Unionville and John Rosenbeck of Plantsville; his brother Robert B. Christensen (Margaret) of Windsor; his grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Brian, Rachael, Nicolas, Zachary, Tyler, Sidney, Michaela, Eric, Meghan, Kelsey and Haley; his siblings, John, Richard, Frederick Christensen, Bertha Bosk and Patricia Ann Givens; and his grandson Patrick. He was also cherished by 13 Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
