With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy J Brosnan of Torrington, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Brosnan and Mary Brosnan (O'Keefe). He is survived by: his wife Nora O'Leary; his daughters, Mary Carr of Lindenhurst, NY, Kathleen Gliganic (Robert) of Seaford, NY, Barbara Brosnan Rivera (Jaimmie) of Metuchen, NJ and Patricia Veneziano (Joseph) of Torrington, CT.; his siblings, Joan Brosnan of Gneevgullia and Joseph Brosnan; his sister-in-law Margaret Brosnan of New York; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Ed Unkle), William (Melinda), Timothy, Karen Carr, Ryan (Aileen), Julia Gliganic, Sean, Luke, Mairead Rivera, Elizabeth and Lindsey Veneziano; and his great grandchildren, Vega, Otto Unkle and Dorothy Carr. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Phalen Funeral Home (285 Migeon Ave, Torrington, CT 06790). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Peter Church (107 E Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
