He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard and Eudora Cahill Surber; his son Kevin Thomas Surber; his brother Howard; his sister-in-law Agnes; and his sibling's children, Patrick, Michael and Jacquelyn of Newport, RI..
He is survived by: his spouse Anne-Brigid Lucey Surber; his caregiver Brian Cahill Surber of Trumbull; his son Timothy Clark Surber (Kate); his great-nephew Colin Surber; and his sibling's children, Martha, Pauline, Janice and Jim. He is also survived by his friends' grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home (39 S Benson Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Church (4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
