He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo; his parents, Mildred Wittmer (Dymkoski) and Donald Wittmer; his siblings, Kenneth Wittmer and Dorothy Michnich (Wittmer); his sister-in-law Carol Sawicki; and his granddaughter Bridget Cable.
He is survived by: his children, Marlene Lautenschlager (William), Joseph Wittmer and Kristen Cable (Andrew); his grandchildren, Andrew Lautenschlager (Emily), William Lautenschlager, Teresa Morrissey (Brian), Miriam Deukmejian (Brett), Katerina Wittmer and Monica Cable; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Amelia, Nolan, Charles and Nora.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Parish (220 Shelton Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the St. Michael Cemetery (255 Silver Hill Rd, Derby, CT 06418).
