He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Riffon Bekech (Mae); and his parents, Andrew and Mary Bekech. He is survived by: his son Kevin A. Komonyi (Rosemary) of Seymour; and his nieces and nephews, Ronald Bekech (Gynine), Andrew Bekech III (Patricia) of Shelton, Michael Bekech (Paula) of Trumbull, Karen Hine (Donald) of Woodbridge, Maryrose Barker (Jeffrey), Donna Herrmann (Patrick) and Madelyn D'Esposito.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home (399 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Byzantine Church (100 St Johns Dr, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at the St. John's Cemetery (2610 Nichols Ave, Stratford, CT 06614).
