It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Giovanni Silano of Trumbull, Connecticut, who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Silano and Helen Silano (Lanza); his grandparents, Giovanni and Celia Silano; his brother Anthony Silano (Patricia); his nieces and nephews, Anthony, Elaina Silano and Pasquale Silano Jr.; his daughter-in-law Karen Blade-Tew; his aunts, Phyllis, Carmela and Tina; his uncle Peter Silano; his cousins, Michael Carmelingo, Maria Carbone Craig and John Valentino; and his aunt Rose Valentino.

He is survived by: his children, Virginia Silano Marconi (Gregory), Joseph Silano (Helene) and John Silano; the mother of his children Angela Silano (Parnoff); his granddaughters, Dawn Marie Riccelli (Michael), Sara Danielle Silano and Jacqueline Theresa Silano; his great grandchildren, Jaxton and Tyler Severino; his brothers, Peter Silano (late Marie) and Pasquale Silano (late Francine); his sister-in-law Aurora Silano; and his aunts, Rosa Lanza and Jennie Silano.
