He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sutay and Anna Sutay (Zavacki); his wife Elizabeth Sutay (Osterberg); his siblings, Eleanor Vargoshe (Sutay), John Sutay, George Sutay and Frank Sutay; and his grandson Kevin O'Neil.
He is survived by: his children, Janet O'Neil (Sutay) of Bridgeport and William J. Sutay; his son-in-law Brian Thomas of Trumbull; and his grandson Brian O'Neil of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
